(26-11-2003) Spain and France reach an agreement to present a joint proposal: the EU Competitiveness Council has agreed to propose the site of Cadarache as the European candidate to host the international Fusion device ITER, while Spain will host the European Fusion Agency that will administer the project. (Press release by the Ministry of Science and Technology - in Spanish) (21-11-2003) Spain is offering to assume the full non-common cost of ITER site, 20%, if Vandellòs is finally chosen as European ITER site (see news item).
